Workplace parking charge scheme
We linked to The Telegraph story of 3 April.
Known officially as a Workplace Parking Levy (WPL), the scheme requires companies in the city of Nottingham to pay an annual fee of £288 for each parking space on offer to employees if more than 10 spaces are provided.
We have talked about this before at RunYourFleet, in our blog of February 28th.
Employees would rightly argue that a parking spot at their place of work should not be classed as a benefit. Employers believe that a levy on ground that they own or lease and use for parking should not be brought in at all.
