Mercedes Benz C Class Reviews
It’s billed as “The best knows no alternative” but is this Mercedes-Benz C-Class the best choice for your business fleet?
Top Gear Mercedes C250 BlueTEC AMG Line driven
The Top Gear review went in big, giving the C250 9/10.
“You’ve got to be careful calling this a traditional Benz, because that makes it sound like it’s stuck in a bygone era. It isn’t. It looks modern, and the interior is a bit of a masterpiece, with clean modern curves and delicious ambient lighting. There’s none of the cold blockiness of the last C-Class. It’s lush but not elaborate. And the technology beneath is anything but traditional, even if it serves the traditional Mercedes aims of safety and driver ease.”
Auto Express Mercedes C-Class review
Auto Express gave the Merc 4.5 stars out of 5 for reliability.
“Standard safety equipment on all C-Class models includes Attention Assist, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, automatic lights, cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a reversing camera. Much of this tech already exists in other Mercedes models, so it’s all proven and should be reliable. Likewise, a number of engines and the auto gearbox are also carried over…Although the previous C-Class only came in 67th in the top 150 cars in the 2014 Driver Power customer satisfaction survey, we expect the newer model to perform better.”
Autocar Mercedes-Benz C-class review
The Autocar Mercedes review explains why the C -Class really matters.
“Mercedes has thrown everything at the car this time round. Inside and out, the new C-class, says Mercedes, “feels like a free upgrade into business class”. Its cabin is a thing of rare quality and beauty, featuring a level of sophistication that, as we’ll discover, elevates it above and beyond any other car in this class. “
WhatCar? Mercedes-Benz C-class Saloon review
WhatCar? has a disagreement with its readers on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, giving it two stars out of five while its readers are more generous, awarding it four
“Against The four-cylinder diesel engines are horribly rough, and all-round refinement is very poor. Interior quality is disappointing, prices are high and contract hire rates are similarly steep. AMG Sport Edition models have a firm ride.”
FleetNews First drive: Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI Bluetec Sport Auto
What does FleetNews think of the Mercedes?
“Is the C-Class the new benchmark in the premium car sector? On the majority of the fleet matrix considerations, the answer is yes (albeit qualified subject to receiving the full running costs data).
It is the most upmarket car in the sector; interior quality is superb, standard equipment levels are exceptional and, on a like-for-like basis, the P11D price is firmly in its favour. The 3 Series isn’t knocked from its perch as the ultimate driver’s car, but that is not fleets’ priority. When it comes to a solid, comfortable, safe and efficient drive, the C-Class is the winner.”
