Top Gear Reviews the Mazda CX 5
The Mazda CX 5 review is one of the most popular on the Top Gear website.
“It’s the comfort and refinement that are most obvious. Mazda has used a new insulation material in the construction, and it gives the CX-5 a similarly hushed, isolated cabin to the best German execs.
It just feels very mature to drive, and Mazda – matched only by Ford in the mainstream sector – does dynamics better than just about anyone else. The bigger-wheeled Sport is taut and agile around corners, steers nicely and maintains momentum.”
What Car?
The WhatCar? review was very complimentary of the Mazda.
“The Mazda CX-5 gives you lots of interior space and equipment for a reasonable price. It also gives you class-leading figures for emissions and fuel economy, and the diesel engine is a real peach.”
Autocar reviews of the Mazda CX 5
The Autocar review was very pleased with the fuel consumption of the Mazda CX 5.
“You shouldn’t lose sight of those impressive running costs: aside from the 119g/km model, the rest of the range – petrol model included – flutter between 136 and 144g/km. All of the diesels have official consumption figures in the 50-60mpg range, so reckon on real-world economy of around 10mpg less.”
AutoExpress
AutoExpress was very impressed with the Mazda CX 5.
“We believe the Mazda CX-5 is currently the best crossover on sale today, thanks to its sharp handling, top-notch quality, low running costs and family friendly practicality. In addition to seeing off crossover rivals like the Nissan Qashqai and Peugeot 3008, the CX-5 can compete with compact SUVs such as the Ford Kuga, Volkswagen Tiguan and Honda CR-V.”
